This Secret Treasure Room May Be The Best Birthday Present Of All Time (9 Pics)
The “secret room” had linoleum on the floor and wood paneling on the walls. One wall had exposed wires and insulation. This room was certainly not fit for children so they decided to do some renovations.
You can see that this hidden room isn’t very fun or comfortable, let alone safe for kids.
It wasn’t a very pleasant site to say the least.
The boy had no idea anything was behind his dresser for 2 years.
They added a new light and finished the walls. They removed the wood paneling and painted with bright colors. They even added a wood floor in the “secret room”.
They fully decorated it with maps and games. This is now his very own personal play room. His reaction is priceless.
Sometime after his 3rd birthday, they decided that they would finish this for him as his 4th birthday present.
On his 4th birthday, their son woke up to a treasure map. He had to find clues around the house which eventually lead him to his dresser which he had to move.
His mom explains his reaction perfectly.
He needed a bit of help since it was “really, really hard”. Then he could see the door. “What do you see?” I asked. “That door there,” he declared.
Me: “What do you think we should do?”
The Boy: “I think we should peek inside it.”
Me: “What do you think is in there?”
The Boy: “Some treasure is in there.” He walked in wide eyed and asked, “Where is my birthday present?”
Me: “You are in your birthday present.”
The Boy: “What is it?”
Me: “It is a whole room.”
“A treasure room!” As he took it in, he got very excited and declared that he would show it to everyone.
I gave him the tour of the room. “Oh, this is pretty cool, mother.”
Then it really sank in. “A secret treasure room! I like this room so much,” he jumped up and down. “Thank you father and mother.”
