Evaporation-based Water Purifier Cone

When you evaporate and condense water, the condensed water is 100% pure water. This means the purified water is completely safe to drink, as nasty chemicals and bugs do not evaporate with the water. The WaterCone is a very simple gadget that purifies water by the process of evaporation.

The user can pour up to 1.7 liters of dirty water in the black pan and cover it with the transparent cone. Keeping the device in direct sunlight heats up water and turns it in into vapor. As water evaporates, it leaves behind the impurities in the pan and clean water condenses on the surface of the cone. After a few hours the cone can be emptied into a clean water bottle or a glass.

The system is undoubtedly a cheap and low-tech alternative to expensive water purifiers.

I just want to say, that this will not purify EVERYTHING, only things that have a boiling point higher than water. Things with a boiling point lower than water will evaporate and condense with the water and still be present in your drink.

Destilled water will kill you... if you drink more than a few dl, or if you drink it regularly.
Also, please mention that other solvents also evaporate and many do so at alower temp than water and will thus also be presant in the destilled water. You falsly make it sound as if ANY impurity will be gone.

All in all, shitty and false video and a bad idea.

concept is solid, application sucks. will only be pure water, with rain water, overnight dew, and that's pretty much it. In third world countries, if you attempt what they are claiming, you may still get a nice case of dysentary. Enjoy :)

??? why purity rain water or overnight dew??

this is an evaporative "purifier" no boiling involved...

    can't dispute Sept 26 post
