When the inhabitants of this old high rise building in China refused to move out, the builders were left with only one choice…
Chinese real estate developers offered these residents money to move from their apartments so that the building could be demolished. Since they did not take the money, builders started working around them and left only one entrance open to the stubborn occupants.

They were stubborn for a reason: Government forced them to sell their land dirt-cheap for a so-called economic zone planning project. After they bought the land, the project was scraped. They then resold the land for a much higher price to pocket the profit.
