Norwegian Graduation Tradition
Every year, the norwegian highschool graduates spends close to a month to celebrate the end of 13 years of school between April 21st and May 17th. This "event" is called Russetid, and the graduates goes by the name "Russ".
Some of the Russ gather up and buy old busses and transform them into their own personal nightclub on wheels.
These are called "russebuss", and can cost up to 2 000 000 kr (~300 000$) to build.
The planning, saving and building process can take up to 3 years.
Some Russ rent huge speaker and/or light systems for their bus to bring to all the different Russ meetings.
Or big ass TV-screens.
The inside is filled with speakers, flat screen tv's, lighting, DJ-booth's, bars and everything else you would see in a normal nightclub.
Or big ass TV-screens.
