Handmade a leather wallet (27 Pics)

Pieces all cut out. I use a Chisel-point Japanese knife to do all my cutting.
Heating the edge creaser over an alcohol lamp. This is a decorative step I do on all the pieces, which adds a thin indented line around every edge.

After edges are creased, I bevel the edge slightly to take off the sharp edge, then slick the edge with some water, and then to seal the edge, apply acrylic edge paint. This picture shows the difference between an unfinished raw edge (left) and the completed edge (right).
All pocket pieces finished and polished.
Skiving the back piece. This involves simply taking off a thin layer of leather around the edges, which helps significantly in thinning down the edges of the finished project. I take off approximately 50% of the leather at the edge. This is done to every single piece of leather in the wallet.
