Veteran Responds After Being Accused Of Parking In Handicap Spot Illegally (Photos)

A veteran’s response to a passive aggressive driver accusing him of wrongfully parking in a handicap spot went viral.
The veteran reportedly found a handwritten note on his car, left by a driver who was angry that he seemingly did not “have a sticker” or “look handicapped.”
“I have taken a picture of your license plate and sent it to the office for towing,” the note read.
In response, the veteran typed up a long, detailed letter explaining his right to park where he did.
“In the state of Texas, if a vehicle has DISABLED VETERAN license plates, that vehicle is not required, BY LAW, to have a handicapped placard displayed, nor a handicapped emblem on the license plate, UNLESS that vehicle is parked on FEDERAL property,” the response letter read.
“If you had bothered to spend 30 seconds and pull the miniature computer out of your pocket to research this then you would have never needed to leave me this offensive note.”
The veteran went on to point out that since the driver took a picture of his license plate, he should have noticed the writing at the bottom that indicated he was a disabled veteran.
“Although I may not ‘look’ handicapped to you, I can assure you that the amount of pain I feel in my lower body from walking due to combat-sustained injuries far supersedes any level of pain you have ever felt in your entire life," the veteran continued.
"Or maybe not…who am I to say? After all, I don’t even know who you are. By the way, I would love to hear what your idea of a handicapped person ‘looks’ like. A**hole.”
